Peaceful place
Melba gully is a small patch of tropical rainforest in the midst of Otway National park. This gully is a detour from the Great Ocean drive and is divergent from it’s topography.

Patch of tropical rainforest..
This gully is thickly packed with rainforest trees along with giant fern trees..Its a picnic area where there is enough space for cooking, eating and playing and a great view point.

Picnic area with moss bench…
We parked our car and trekked down the circuit through the neatly build raised platform throughout the forest. That pathway is well maintained and no need to worry about messing up with mud on the way.

Stroll around the gully..
We did only halfway of the circuit.. The halfway itself is mesmerizing. The chirping of birds and crickets orchestrated us to be felt inside a jungle. The canopy of trees is an amazing feelings to kids and they are the most happiest souls.

Kids..
We cooked and had lunch in Melba gully and headed towards Otway light house..
Note
Ample parking lot is there.
Washroom is available.
I heard that this gully is more beautiful at night with glow worms. So, a visit at night is must.
