Jaisalmer…. The golden City…In the midst of Thar desert..

Day 1
We planned our trip with 4 other families in train. We boarded around afternoon from Delhi and everybody was in full energy. Ladies were busy in chit chatting, while males played cards. Children busy with climbing up the berth and colouring.
Day 2 Jaisalmer fort
Our train reached Jaisalmer station at around 12pm. After lots of bargaining we got 2 Bolero to drop us in the booked hotel.

After resting for some time we hopped in a share auto and headed to Jaisalmer fort. One of the old inhabitant fort. The striking style of construction is the door height. We have to bend for entering a room. May be to prevent from sudden attack of enemy.. When we reached the terrace…the view is like we have reached Morocco or some middle Eastern countries..

Then we laze around in the local markets and headed towards Gadisar lake by foot. However, by the time we reached it was closed . But we spent some time on its bank and went back to our stay where the actual party begins..

Hukka..One should experience while in Jaisalmer..

Day 3 Kuldhara & Thar desert
Dessert…Thar desert is our destination with a pit stop at Kuldhara the abandoned village. We prepbooked Peepali camp in advance and they arranged our commutation in a reasonable rate.

The road stretches towards our destination is never ending with thorny bushes here and there.. Completely barren land with no vegetation and signs of water is out of box.

Kuldhara..cursed village where we can find some remnants of buildings which were once a flourished village. There are lots of tales behind this. However, it’s evident that scarcity of water may be the prime cause.

We reached our camp by around 3pm. The location was excellent. It is secluded and in the middle of sand dunes. Its really an added advantage for us . Children are the most excited people. They started there sand play.

By evening our camp has arranged the Jeep safari. That was really like the chase behind the villain in movies through Middle Eastern desert jumping from one sand dunes to another.

During our ride we find an area arranged for destination wedding. It was nice to see the dessert marriage party by a big tycoon.
Till sunset we were busy playing in sand dunes.

Really feel like a magical world.. In one moment all the topography will be changed. With one simple breeze all marks in sand would become vanish.

At night they had arranged some cultural program followed by dinner.

It was awesome to watch clear sky with lots of twinkling stars.
Day 4 Desert camp
The dawn breaks with camel sound.. Yes, everybody were super excited for a bumpy ride. That was the most thrilling ride ever had. Sahrukh was our camels name. His ride was excellent.. but the foul smell from his mouth was beyond words.

Then came the idea of camel running competition. We paid extra money and did that crazy stuff. One should really do this in life time.

Meanwhile one of our friend lost his phone. Our happiness faded and started searching for it.It was vain.Sand engulfs things easy and never return it.
After breakfast we were keen to visit Bada Bhagh and Pakistan border. But kids were interested in playing in sand dunes. So we dropped that plan and left our camp by afternoon. During our way to railway station we halted for shopping. The sight of Bhang shop tempted us to experiment that. We bought that in bottles and started our journey back in train.

That was the craziest journey with everyone in elited mood..One is flying in air and other is busy in making everything all right..
Day 5
By afternoon we reached home with lots of memories.
