Chakrata… A secluded hill station cradled in Dehradun district which is around 90km from main city. This charming hamlet is well known for its spellbinding views and serenity.

Day 1 Drive to Chakrata
Early morning started from Delhi and we reached Chakrata around 18:00. However we reached our stay by 20:00. Towards the end of destination the journey was rough as the round was steep and had to travel off road. Our camp was Green canvas camp which was prep booked through one of our friends. The adventurous journey end with a 100metre trek towards camp.

The camp is located in the middle of Theodor forest. An exotic location where one can be secluded from the material world.

We can relax back without any social network. The camp has only primary facilities. Don’t expect luxurious stay in the middle of forest. Even no electricity was there. They run generator for a couple of hours at night for charging and main course dinner.

The camp fire with starters at camp were awesome.
Day 2 Explored Chakrata
The dawn broke out with a great view. We just strolled around the camp and plucked some apples and pears . Children were busy to pluck wild strawberry.
After breakfast(most delicious of our trip) we headed to Tiger falls.

Tiger falls..yet another victim to commercialization..That place is full of crowd. Those who have seen water falls can skip that place during Chakrata.

After lunch from there we headed to our next camp The blue canvas camp…After check in and rested for sometime we went to the Chilmiri neck.
It is just 3 km from Chakrata surrounded by lush deodar forest and it is the highest peak in Chakrata. The panoramic view from the hill is magnificent especially during sunset..

Day 3 Rock climbing
After breakfast, the camp people offered rock climbing activity. We trekked 1 km up in the mountain and reached our site for rock climbing.. Another experience which had made adrenaline rush in every body.. even in kids..

After lunch we started our return journey to Delhi planning another destinatioan for future..
